CATALYST Chassis
The revolutionary CATALYST platform has been built from the ground up to optimize every aspect of your ride, so much so that you’ll feel like you’re one with your sled. With enhanced ergonomics, a lower center of gravity, our exclusive laydown engine design, specially calibrated suspension and more, this changes everything.
CONFIDENCE-INSPIRING HANDLING
AWS 42 FRONT SUSPENSION WITH PROGRESSIVE RATIO STEERING
The AWS 42 Front Suspension is engineered specifically to compliment the ZR 600. With ratio steering to reduce rider effort, you’ll experience more control.
AWS 42 FRONT SUSPENSION WITH PROGRESSIVE RATIO STEERING
AWS 42 is the culmination of over 40 years of experience with the Arctic Wish Suspension, optimized for trail riding. By centralizing the weight distribution, the suspension now sits directly under the rider, giving them more flexibility to move around on the sled, as well as giving them more control. This also puts more of the sled’s weight on the skis, improving balance. With a progressive steering ratio, riders will feel the difference immediately. The sled will react to the slightest movement, making the ZR 600 feel like a natural extension of the rider’s body.
LIGHTWEIGHT, YET POWERFUL
600-Series C-TEC2 Engine
This robust, yet lightweight 599cc, 125-HP C-TEC2™ engine with Dual-Stage Injection (DSI) offers more than enough power to carve up the backcountry, while keeping the sled feeling weightless.
REDESIGNED 600-CLASS C-TEC2 ENGINE
Featuring an ECM-controlled electronic oil pump, battery-free electronic fuel injection, exhaust pipe temperature sensor, knock sensor and more, this 600-series engine packs a serious punch. The crankshaft and fuel management system have been redesigned, and the exhaust servo increases torque by creating back-pressure at a lower RPM. The 599cc, 125-HP CTEC2 engine with DSI is mounted with our Torque Control Link (TCL) and a clutch guard.
INCREASED DURABILITY
ARCTIC CAT TRAIL BELT DRIVE
The CATALYST platform utilizes Arctic Cat’s belt drive system rather than a chain drive. This allows for enhanced durability and fewer parts in the system. The adjustable center distance allows for multiple ratio options and makes servicing simple.
BRIGHTEN ANY RIDE
ASYMMETRICAL LED HEADLIGHT
A premium LED headlight is crucial to optimize your visibility. Equipped with both high and low-beams, this headlight casts an LED light pattern with great range and width. Plus, with it’s unique asymmetrical design, everyone will know that you’re on an Arctic Cat.
NO ROUGH RIDES
SLIDE-ACTION™ REAR SUSPENSION
Rough rides are a thing of the past. With this industry-exclusive design that keeps the front arm engaged while the rear arm compresses, you’ll hardly feel a bump in the trail.
SLIDE-ACTION™ REAR SUSPENSION
Unlock the true potential of a coupled suspension with our unique SLIDE-ACTION design. The front arm fits into a U-shaped slot that allows 0.5 inches of sliding movement, so the front won’t collapse whenever the rear arm compresses. That unique design gives you the full benefit of coupling: controlled ski lift during acceleration and the complete use of the front arm at all times. SLIDE-ACTION suspension also allows a lower and more consistent track tension with its Torque-Sensing Link, as well as three-position rear coupling block adjustability, adjustable spring preload and a durable 3-wheel rear axle assembly.
READY TO GO
PUSH-BUTTON ELECTRIC START
The convenience of electric start is just one of the countless things that sets the ZR apart. With just the push of a handlebar-mounted button you’ll be up and moving. It is also equipped with a backup manual starter.
EFFORTLESS SUPPORT
IFP SHOCKS
You’ll feel the difference in every ride with premium, internal floating piston (IFP) shocks. These shocks will dampen the toughest terrain and offer increased durability, allowing you to maximize your performance.

SMOOTH POWER DELIVERY
ADAPT CVT SYSTEM
With its lightweight, narrow design that increases performance and belt life, as well as the industry’s only self-adjusting clutch, the ADAPT™ CVT system provides better throttle response, smoother power delivery and a ride like no other.
